Remember in the 80s and early 90s when making puffy paint art (on t-shirts and what have you) was a viable form of self-expression? Well, even if you don’t, Miley Cyrus is here to remind you of the glory of the formerly defunct medium.
Not only an “artist” for using her own body as a canvas for emojis, Miley has also continued to parlay her career in the arts as a puffy painter. In honor of the amFAR’s annual gala in New York, la peinteuse used the much talked about Vanity Fair cover featuring Caitlyn Jenner as her base medium for interpretation.
Adding a splash of pink here, a dash of green there, Cyrus gives us a voilà moment with her triptych of Caitlyns, which fetched $69,000 at the benefit. Could this mean Cyrus will be spurred on to continue on this fork in her career road? Let’s hope so; one gets the sense Keith Haring would want it that way.
